About Therapy

Individual, Relationship, Couples & Psychosexual Therapy

"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”

- Carl Jung

My model of counselling and psychotherapy is Integrative, which means that I will tailor my approach to suit your needs best and at a pace that you feel comfortable with. This model is a talking therapy only, but enables me to integrate different approaches, schools of thinking, techniques and methods, so I can treat a person as a whole, focusing on their mind, emotions, body and spirit.

Counselling also provides the privacy of a confidential one to one relationship and space to talk openly about yourself and explore your thoughts, feelings and difficulties without judgement. My approach is based on the understanding that difficult and damaging experiences in the past can continue to affect us either consciously or subconsciously throughout our life, which affects the way that we behave and feel in the present. This exploration can provide the welcome opportunity to resolve old pain and conflict and understand patterns of behaviour that may be causing current emotional and psychological distress.

The counselling room is also a place where the client can feel ‘held’ and helped to think clearly about their lives and to find the freedom to come to their own conclusions about not only how to live, but how to live well.
